Wall Art #2 of ?

#2 Wall Art Piece
Patina and Pain on Steel

This piece is available for sale at:

There will be more to come in different colors and designs.

Wall Art #1 of ?

After the last build of the coffee and end table I had an idea to use patina and color and start a collection of wall art.
I decided to use mainly primary colors for the beginning piece and I wanted to make layers of shapes and textures.
This piece was a nice start I believe and already provided me with ideas going forward for future pieces.

Let me know what you think.  I'm hoping to get some other pieces created soon and make a wall art portfolio.  Ultimately I would like to get some pieces into a gallery for people to see and enjoy.

End and Coffee Table look Fantastic in their Home!

Like most of my projects this was a first. I had an idea about using tile in my designs for a while and I was able to make that idea a reality with these tables.
The client and I discussed the idea of concrete tops or something similar.  The mention of concrete sparked me to pursue my idea of tile.  I began by obtaining some samples of tile and sharing pictures with the client about the style, color and patterns to see if they liked how these pieces would match their interior.  After brief discussion the patterns in the tables below were chosen.
We had some good discussions about size and shape of the frames and then the building began.
We decided on 2" square tube and I was going to patina these frames with a black color.  I had an idea of the look my client was going for from other pictures of furniture she had shared with me and patina was going to be the added touch to make these tables unique.
This was the first time using patina for me and it proved to be a unique challenge.  There is an element of time that is a really important factor in making the patina happen.  I learned a lot and have A LOT to learn and practice until I feel comfortable with patina.  I will be excited to use it on future projects.
Extremely happy with the way these turned out.  Was also really excited about how thrilled my client was.
Hope you enjoy the photos.  Feel free to contact me with your ideas about your next project!

Finished Custom Bookshelf

Finished pic of the bookshelf.
The shelves match the clients wall on the other side of the room.
There are 2 shelves behind the doors.  Custom made door handles that match the vanity in the bathroom.
The coat rack on the wall in this pic was also made by Campbell Custom.  We used gears and sprockets and hand bend coat hooks.  One sprocket was even from a motorcycle that the client owned.

Bookshelf Build

Work In Progress

Just a couple pics from the latest build.  This is going to be a bookshelf for one of my best clients so far.  The bottom two shelves will be hidden by doors on the front and sheet metal on the sides and back.  The shelves will be custom wood that matches the accent walls in the clients offices.

Let me know what you think and feel free to contact me about your build needs.  - AC

Driveway Sculpture

The current project at AC MetalWork is a driveway sign/sculpture.
It will have the house numbers integrated into its base design as well.

This horseshoe is 3ft tall and will be mounted on a 4"x4" steel tube base.

The second picture is just after installation.

The third pic gives you an idea of the number size and detail.
