Between the latest weather and staying busy with other projects, the smoker has received little attention. I was able to get the first hole cut in it this past weekend. Looking ahead to cutting the doors and putting on some legs. If the snow clears up for a day or so I think I'll have to have a fire in the tank to clean it out.
See below, the tank is beginning to smile.

Flywheels and Fish
I picked up a couple flywheels yesterday at the junk yard. I was happy to pick them up before we got too much snow. Not sure what I'm going to make out of them yet, but I'm thinking of maybe using them for table tops.
As far as the fish goes, I got another fish welded together last night, but have some work to do sandblasting it before it gets a coat of paint.
Happy Friday!

Building Fish
I had a cool opportunity arise yesterday and spent part of the evening making pieces for a new fish. Hopefully I will have it done by Friday and I'll be able to paint it. I'm thinking this one will be orange. Keeping the ideas and the work moving.

In spite of recent snowfall, I think I'm going to try to get to the junk yard today to pick up a couple pieces. Flywheels anyone? Excited to see what I can turn them into.

275 Gallon Smoker Build
A freind of mine has a talent for smoking meat. He makes excellent pulled pork, brisket, chicken and other meats. He would like to move forward with making this hobby into something a little bigger. I enjoy the idea of being able to help him turn this hobby into a business. Because of this we did some research on Craigslist and found a 275 gallon fuel oil tank that we're going to turn into a smoker.
Progress has been slow at this point but I've been doing a lot of research and gathering materials for the build.
I'll keep posting as progress happens.
There is a pic of the tank after a hour or so of wire wheeling in the gallery slideshow.
