Between the latest weather and staying busy with other projects, the smoker has received little attention. I was able to get the first hole cut in it this past weekend. Looking ahead to cutting the doors and putting on some legs. If the snow clears up for a day or so I think I'll have to have a fire in the tank to clean it out.
See below, the tank is beginning to smile.

275 Gallon Smoker Build
A freind of mine has a talent for smoking meat. He makes excellent pulled pork, brisket, chicken and other meats. He would like to move forward with making this hobby into something a little bigger. I enjoy the idea of being able to help him turn this hobby into a business. Because of this we did some research on Craigslist and found a 275 gallon fuel oil tank that we're going to turn into a smoker.
Progress has been slow at this point but I've been doing a lot of research and gathering materials for the build.
I'll keep posting as progress happens.
There is a pic of the tank after a hour or so of wire wheeling in the gallery slideshow.
